Prison for bomb threat on bus

The 19-year-old who made a bomb threat on a bus in Kristianstad on June 10th has now been convicted of several crimes. He has been sentenced to five months in prison. He also has to pay damages to five victims.

The 19-year-old got on one of the buses at Central Station in Kristianstad. He threatened that there was a bomb on board. The bus had to be evacuated.

– We asked him if he had a ticket. Then he said, "there’s a bomb on the bus". He then ran off the bus. I didn’t know if he was lying, the driver told Kristianstadsbladet shortly after the incident.

The 19-year-old was convicted of unlawful threats for the incident on the bus. He has also committed several other crimes, including minor drug offences, violence and threats against an official.

The sentence is five months imprisonment. The 19-year-old must also pay damages of between 5,000 and 10,000 crowns to five different victims. Two of them were on the bus during the bomb threat. The bus company Transdev Sverige AB will not receive any damages.
