Östra Göinge school not up to standard in certain respects
The school in Östra Göinge municipality has, according to the National Schools Inspectorate (NSI), acted incorrectly in certain respects regarding its decision on individual aid for a pupil in a class 0 - 9 school. Now the municipality must take steps for the start of the autumn term 2022.
According to NSI the school has made an incorrect decision regarding individual aid for a pupil. The school is reported to have made decisions about individual aid for the pupil on several occasions without the rector's involvement in all the decisons, which contravenes legal requirements.
NSI is also of the opinion that the enquiry in question does not support the claim for individual aid, and that the school has not tried other ways of meeting the pupil's needs. In addition a number of individual decisions on individual aid are unclear, which LSI regards as shortcoming.
After the latest investigations the school has carried out three action programmes and now NSI wants the school to make a full enquiry into the pupil's need for support.
LSI says that the steps Östra Göinge has taken are not enough to meet the requirements as regards the right to support and school attendance.
– If Östra Göinge municipality does not follow this injunction, stronger measures will be taken', NSI writes in its decision.
The municipality must take steps to rectify the deficiencies pointed out by NSI by 17th October at the latest.
