Noah Milell, world go-carting champion: ”I didn't once look behind me”

In 1996 Johnny Mislijevic won the world go-carting championship.
25 years later his nephew Noah Milell repeated his achievement.
– I just can't get it into my head. It's something I've dreamt about for years. And of course it's extra special to do it on my home track, says the 21-year-old.

His competitors hadn't a chance to keep up with the Swede in the final. It was outclassing pure and simple.

– I never looked behind me. I just concentrated on my driving, not being hard on the tyres, and taking things lap by lap, says Milell.

”I was able to do it on my home track. It feels magic.”

He regards the final as one huge success.

– Absolutely. It couldn't have been done any better. I managed to drive my own race and I was able to do it on my home track. It feels magic.
