New covid-19 test station – you can walk or cycle there
Region Skåne has urged everyone who has symptoms of covid-19 to get tested. And more and more people have tested themselves in the last month.
In Kristianstad, you can do a self-test which you can pick up from a pharmacy. If you drive a car, you can test yourself at the ice rink.

Now another test station is opening, at Vilan's Idrottsplats (sports field). You book an appointment on 1177.se and then you can walk or cycle there.
– Many young people do not have a driving license and the advice is to not use public transport, says Sten Olsson at Samtrans. He is responsible for the new testing station.

The station consists of two huts.
– If you come by bike, you hand in your ID. The staff will take it with tongs. You then get a test kit in a plastic bag and go into a room. There is a table and a mirror there. After you have taken the test, you leave the bag on the table, says Sten Olsson.
The room is disinfected between each visit, to reduce the risk of infection. The station was already popular on its first day, on Wednesday.
– We see that it has been fully booked. Testing is increasing right now when even school pupils have to test themselves, says Sten Olsson.
Common covid-19 symptoms
Can be like a common cold or flu. Some people become seriously ill. Most people who get the infection become mildly ill. Common symptoms are fever, cough, runny nose, sore throat, muscle and joint pain, and difficulty breathing.
It’s common for your sense of smell and taste to become impaired or altered. Many people feel very tired. The symptoms usually appear after three to five days, but it can take up to fourteen days.
