Network fees up - again
The variable part will be raised by 78 per cent, from 11.25 to 20 öre per kilowatt/ hour. In 2021 the network fee was 5.375 öre.
A household with a heating system run on electricity that consumes 20,000 kilowatt/hours a year will have to pay 2,ooo crowns more to C4 Energi next year. A total of 9,195 crowns, an increase of 28 per cent.
_ We must pay more more to Svenska Kraftnät for transfer fees and losses on the network. At the same tíme we have big investments ahead because the municipality is expanding and the infrastructure must be extended, says CEO Kajsa Hedberg.
The reason behind the increased losses in the backbone network is due to the fact that less electricity is being produced in the south of Sweden. Electricity has to be transported longer distances - and this always entails a certain amount of loss, including heat and transformation.
– The further south you are, the more you must pay for these losses. The losses have grown to twice what they were in 2022, and four times as much as in 2020, says Kajsa Hedberg.
On 1st January this year network costs were raised from 4.3 to 6.8 öre, not including VAT. This was later raised again, to 9 öre not including VAT, 11,25 with VAT.
The flexible cost has thus gone up from 5,375 öre (incl. VAT) in 2021 to 20 öre in 2023, which is a total increase of 272 per cent.
