Murder trial can go on for 16 days

On 22nd November 2019 Emilia Lundberg, 20, disappeared. Eleven days later police divers found her body in Vramsån river. Now the trial has begun of a 21-year-old man who is suspected of murder.

The preliminary investigation comprises 10,000 pages.

On 23rd October the trial began of the 21-year-old, a childhood friend of Emilia who lived in Tollarp. The prosecutor went through sms-messages and snapchat, GPS-positions of mobile phones, and evidence in the form of jackets, wigs and a knife.

– My client denies the crime. There is no motive for him to kill his childhood friend, defence lawyer Melka Kjellberg says.

16 days have been reserved for the trial. The trial is expected to be over at the end of November.
