”We have found places in sports halls, unused offices and former eventide homes, but also some flats”Patrik Åkesson, Länsstyrelsen Skåne
County governor Anneli Hulthén has discussed the situation with all the municipalities. On 11th March Länsstyrelsen Skåne (the Skåne county administrative board) published a press notice saying that municipalities in Skåne had found temporary living quarters for 2,500 persons..
– We have found places in sports halls, unused offices and former eventide homes, but also some flats, says Patrik Åkesson at Länsstyrelsen Skåne in a press release.
– Some will be ready very soon, and others may not be ready until May, he says.
But more places are needed. Migrationsverket reckons that 4,000 places will be required in Skåne.
