More covid patients in hospital – increase in number in Kristianstad
More people are seeking care for covid-19, according to figures from Region Skåne. On Monday 281 new cases of the infection had been reported. That means that 159,796 people in Skåne have been confirmed with the infection since the pandemic broke out.
In Kristianstad there are three patients in the covid ward. In the region three patients are in intensive care. That is one less since Thursday.
But the number of patients in the wards has increased in hospitals in Skåne, from 11 to 23. This means that there are in all 26 patients receiving hospital care in the region.
The number of people in Skåne who are being vaccinated is rising day by day. Almost 77 per cent have had their first dose. A total of 719,011 people in Skåne have had two doses of the vaccine (63.3 of everyone over 16) and are reckoned to be fully vaccinated.
