Man in his mid-twenties remanded in custody on murder charge
Some time during the night before 17th September the woman is thought to have been murdered in a flat. A man in his mid-twenties under suspicion of the act. On Monday he was remanded in custody at Kristianstad district court, suspected on probable grounds of the murder. The man took part in proceedings via a link.
The man admits assault and battery but denies murder.
– A woman has been found dead and the man is under suspicion. In cases like this we do not go out with a lot of comments, says prosecutor Johan Eriksson.
The man is to remain in custody until 18th October. By that time the prosecutor must have started legal,proceedings or prolong the period of custody. Otherwise he must be released.
The suspect has previously had an order of summary punishment for having a small amount of cannabis in his home in November 2019.
