– It feels absolutely fantastic of course. Right now it’s very tough for the aviation industry. And so we could do with a new airline that also has local financiers. It’s better than we could’ve dreamed of, says Jonas Haak, CEO of Kristianstad Österlen Airport.
– It’s local entrepreneurs with their heart in the area. It feels like the conditions are better than ever really.
There’s a lot of practical work remaining, including which operator will fly. The route to and from Stockholm is the only one that is confirmed at the moment, but Jonas Haak believes that there’s a possibility for more destinations.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, however, it may be some time before some flights take off and land at Kristianstad Österlen Airport again. Haak is convinced that it will be after the turn of the year.
BRA started flying between Kristianstad and Stockholm in August 2018.
