Kristianstad among the worst affected by covid-19
The number of new cases of covid-19 in Skåne shows that Kristianstad municipality is among the worst affected municipalities. This is shown in the figures for last week (Week 46).
In Kristianstad, there were 473 cases per 100,000 inhabitants. Only Bjuv and Ängelholm had more, with 617 and 579 infected per 100,000, respectively.

Since March, Kristianstad has had a total of 1,322 people infected with covid-19. It is an increase of 405 people in the last week.
The increase is noticeable at the Central Hospital in Kristianstad (CSK):
– We have treated more patients in hospital than in Helsingborg, which is a larger city, says Hospital Manager Johan Cosmo.
– We’re still treating more people.
In Kristianstad municipality, there are nine new cases of covid-19 among operations within the care sector. In total, 74 people have now been infected. 32 people were given the all-clear, an increase of six people.
Operations include nursing homes, specially adapted housing, short-term housing, daily activities and home care.
– Fortunately, we don’t have any places where many are infected, but only isolated cases. It’s worth remembering that we have over 100 operations, says Camilla Gärdebring, Head of the Care Administration.
