Kristersson elected new prime minister
Parliament has elected Moderate leader Ulf Kristersson as Sweden's new prime minister, by 176 votes to 173.

Voting in parliament took place shortly before12 o'clock.
Kristersson gained the support of M, KD, L and SD.
S, MP, V and C voted against him.
Kristersson is Sweden's 35th prime minister.
He will deliver his keynote speech at 9.30 tomorrow,after which he will present the ministers in the new government, which will be made up of M, KD and L.
The formal change of government will take place after lunch on Tuesday, at a cabinet meeting at the royal palace.
