The teams met in the first match of the season. Kopparbergs/Göteborg won that match by five goals to one. Now Kristianstads DFF beat the gold favourites Kopparbergs/Göteborg 1–0.

The achievement made trainer Elisabet ”Beta” Gunnarsdottir believe in a future in Europe.

– We intend to hold on to out third place the rest of the season. We’ve waited so long, and now it’s in our own hands. No two ways about it, says ”Beta”.
