Infection continues upward trend

In recent weeks, the number of Covid-19 infections has increased in north-east Skåne. 23 new cases in Kristianstad, Hässleholm, Bromölla, Östra Göinge and Osby during week 39 and even higher the week after, a total of 40 cases in the five municipalities.

In the past week, the infection has slowed down in some municipalities. Bromölla has not had a single new case since last Tuesday.

In Kristianstad, however, the increase continues with the same strength as before. In the last week, the municipality has had 22 new cases.

There were 120 new cases in the whole of Skåne on Tuesday. This is the highest recorded for a day since 15th September. Of these, one person was in intensive care, while 15 were admitted to the ward.

A total of 282 people in Skåne have died from Covid-19 since 18th March. The most recent death was registered on Monday, October 12th.
