The season is over. IFK Kristianstad has missed out on another SM-final. The disappointment was of course great after the third loss (22-23) against IFK Skövde.

– Everything is empty, but there are a lot of thoughts. An entire season is just over, says Olafur Gudmundsson, Team Captain, who himself has a foot injury from before.

It’s been three years since IFK last took part in an SM-final. After three straight losses against IFK Skövde, it came to a halt again.

”I've been here four months. The team was seventh when I arrived”

The Team Captain managed with his injured foot, but the performance wasn’t enough. Even though IFK played their best semi-final.

– There has been a lot of new things going on all the time, says Olafur Gudmundsson

How do you feel on your part?

– The disappointment is so great now, says Uffe Larsson, Coach.

– I've been here four months. The team was seventh when I arrived. I hope that someday when everything has settled down, I can be happy with what we have done.

Uffe Larsson took over as coach after Ljubomir Vranjes in December. Vranjes was fired after the team's seventh loss.

The new coach next season is Jonas Wille.
