Here's how students will celebrate this year

Each student can invite two relatives to the ”rushing out” ceremony, just like last year. But you can follow the ceremony live on Kristianstadsbladet's site.

18th June is the last day of term for 2021's school-leavers in the municipal upper secondary schools.

– We've decided to limit the number of guests to two outside the schools this year as well, says school director Mattias Olsson in a press release.

”We hope that everyone does their bit to make the day as corona-safe as possible”

Other relatives and friends can follow events on a live transmission at Kristianstadsbladet.

– It worked very well last year, so it's natural to follow the same pattern this year, says Maria Sällberg, web manager at Kristianstadsbladet.

The ”rushing out” will be transmitted live, individual clips from each class will be published as they are ready on www.kristianstadsbladet.se

Students and their families can watch afterwards, says Maria Sällberg.

– Readers should double-check in good time that they are properly logged in. If necessary they can phone to our customer centre for extra support.

This year there will be no ball, no treasure-hunt, no carnival and no parties. Riding in an open lorry ihas been banned by Transportstyrelsen.

– We hope that everyone does their bit to make the day as corona-safe as possible, and still give our school-leavers a memory to last a lifetime, says Mattias Olsson.

– It hasn't been easy for them, they've had to struggle hard, so they're well and truly worth celebrating.
