Head of local bank retires after 30 years
Since 2008, when it amalgamated with the Savings Banks (Sparbankerna) in Vinslöv, Glimåkra, Farstorp and Röke, Sparbanken Göinge has shown a considerable increase in the volume of its business.
The new head, Slava Berg, knows the bank's clients very well, since she was born, grew up and now lives in Glimåkra. She has also worked in Glimåkra as a business administrator.
– The best things about the job are the people, the locality and how things have developed, says Anne Halliday, who thinks it is amazing to have been part of all the expansion during the past few years.
On 18th January Slava Berg formally took over as head of the Glimåkra branch. She too is well-known to her clients, since she has worked in the bank since 1998, and been responsible for dealings with businesses since 2016.
”What's new for me is the responsibility for the staff. My first priority is to work close to the staff”Slava Berg
– This makes for a smooth transfer, says Mikael Bosson, managing director of Sparbanken Göinge.
He tells us that there were both external and internal applicants for the job.
– What's new for me is the responsibility for the staff. My first priority is to work close to the staff, says Slava Berg.
She has lived in Sibbhult for the past few years.
– I'm active in Sibbhults IF, where my children play. I enjoy travelling, and I sometimes do a bit of training.
