Now Region Skåne is offering free tests for parents with joint custody on either side of Öresund, and for their teenagers, Region Skåne writes in a press release.

To be eligible for free tests a parent must be able to prove that he/she has joint custody of a minor who lives in Sweden. This can be done by showing the minor's identity information, an extract from the population register for parents living in Denmark and proof of identity of the parent who is to be tested. Children under the age of 12 do not need to be tested.

– I'm glad we've found a solution that makes it easier for a group of children and parents who have run into difficulties because the borders have been closed. A slight easing of the rules won't increase the spread of infection, but it will give big social and humanitarian benefits, says Carl Johan Sonesson (M), chairman of Region Skåne and of the co-operation organisation Greater Copenhagen in a press announcement.
