Five tips in May
Take a picnic-basket and head for Kjugekull, go and see fantastic cars and motorbikes in Tydinge, celebrate 20 years of culture in Hässleholm or watch some exciting jousting at Hovdala.
The theatre performance ”Oro i Sporrakulla” (Unrest in Sporrakulla) is about the period in the17th century when Skåne became Swedish. Swedish soldiers pursued the Danish snipers. It could very well be compared to Russia and Ukraine today.
Outing: New museum
What: Beautiful view, fine nature, big stones to climb on, and paths to explore. Villands Härads local history society runs the café and the museum.

Jubilee: Kulturhuset celebrates its 20th anniversary
What: Opening of exhibition ”Hässleholm Kulturhus 20 År” and lots of music, 12th-15th May. On Friday there is a gala evening with Carry a Stone, among others. On 14th May there is face-painting. See the whole programme at hassleholms-evenemangskalender@hoodin.com

Theatre: About the Snapphanar rebels
What: Theatrical society Kuppmakarna give the play ”Oro i Sporrakulla” (Unrest in Sporrakulla). Young men who are snipers (snapphanar) have taken to the woods, hunted down by Swedish soldiers. The action takes place in the 17th century.

Knights: Hovdala Mediaeval Days
What: Plenty to see and do for people of all ages: knights, jesters, horses, a historical market, craftsmen, musicians, Swedish jousting championships. At the Children's Courtyard (free) children can try their hand at archery, among other things. See the programme at hovdala.se
