Festival summer camp for girls who dig hard rock
Rock music, and hard rock in particular, is dominated by men. So Studiefrämjandet and Sweden Rock Festival are encouraging young girls who love and want to play hard rock.
”To be able to work with rock music both in theory and in practice for four day is a dream for many young girls”Emma Heimersson, Studiefrämjandet
Girls aged between 14 and 17 who want to take part in the four-day-long Sweden Rock camp can make an application. The camp is from 5th till 9th July.
– To be able to work with rock music both in theory and in practice for four day is a dream for many young girls. We're there for everyone, whether you're cis or trans, says Emma Heimersson, leader for musical development at Studiefrämjandet.
Leaders at the camp are the four girls in the hard rock band Browsing Collection.
You can apply for a place until 15th March.
The camp will be arranged at Hälleviks camping site near Norje. The camp will be rounded off by a study visit to Sweden Rock Festival, SRF. SRF is Scandinavia's biggest hard rock festival. Every year it attracts visitors from 50 countries.
