Famous hotel in bankruptcy – pandemic is one reason

– As far as we know, we will continue to run the hotel as usual. It’s open, we have guests and we are happy to receive more guests, said Gustaf Andersson, Hotel Director at First Hotell Christian IV in Kristianstad, on Wednesday.
It is a Norwegian corporate group that has owned several operating agencies for several different hotels in Swedish cities. Stockholm District Court has declared four of the operating companyies bankrupt. The staff who worked at the hotels have been employed by the operating companies.

An insolvency administrator will now decide whether the Tribe Hotel Christian IV AB can continue, and at the same time try to find new owners.
The operating companies were owned by the Norwegian group Flying Elephants, which via its subsidiary company, Host I Sverige, took over 13 different Swedish hotels in the summer of 2020. Host writes in a press release:
