The vaccine passport will contain information about vaccinations against covid-19, which vaccine was taken and how many doses. Then there will be an additional two parts: if the person has recently tested negative and if the person has antibodies.

– I welcome the fact that the EU is developing a framework that makes it possible to use vaccine passports in all EU countries, says Anders Ygeman.

But he thinks that the other two parts need to be thoroughly investigated due to integrity, security, and more.

”There are pretty strong arguments for and against it”

You will be able to have the vaccine passport on your mobile phone, for example via a web browser, app or digital wallets. It will also be possible to print it on paper. It will be validated through a QR code.

Anders Ygeman says that a lot needs to be done within three months.

– It’s a very ambitious timetable. And there are pretty strong arguments for and against it.

Anders Ygeman still promises:

– Sweden will have the vaccine passport ready this summer.
