Do not go swimming here – Flowering algae at bathing places
Flowering algae have been found at bathing places at Råbelövssjön. So Kristianstads municipality is advising people not to go swimming there.

Algae have been found at three separate places: Österslöv, Balsby and Ekestad. So the municipality has issued a warning against bathing there now..

The municipality writes on its homepage that it is particularly important to keep small children and animals away from the water, since they can easily swallow it by accident.
If you swallow water with flowering algae in it, it can lead to itching, vomiting and diarrhoea.
