But there are long waiting times to pick up home test kits.

– We have test kits at home, four drawers full. But we must be able to book appointments and handle it as well, says Liselott Thuvesson, Pharmacy Manager at Norringen.

– There’s a lot in the chain that has to come together, she says.

Region Skåne has decided to increase capacity by 50 per cent. This means that there will be 15,000 tests per week instead of 10,000.

– This week, drive-through stations will open for self-testing in Skåne, including in Kristianstad, says Maria Wogensen from Region Skåne's Press Office.

Booking appointments at drive-through stations will be done in the same way as for collecting home test kits via a pharmacist.

– But those who are going to get tested have to drive their own car to the drive-through station. The test is taken on-site there, she says.
