Children first out on exciting troll trail
A trail like that, we must have one here! That was what I thought. For we already have Trollabackarna, Trollabadet, Trollarinken and Trollacenter...
So says Linda Marin. So she took the initiative to the Trollstigen project.
About 30 children from Glimåkra after-school centre were there to open the trail. They had a snack and went round the question-trail. They have helped to paint trolls on stones along the trail.
”I think the children will take care of the trail even better because they have been involved in creating it”Linda Marin
– I think the children will take care of the trail even better because they have been involved in creating it, says Linda Marin, who works with nature tourism in Immeln. She has done so for more than ten years.
She hopes the trail will give the school inspiration in different subjects.
– There are opportunities here for local history, art lessons, and not least teaching them what is right and wrong when they are out in the countryside, she says.
Ann Jönsson has helped to write texts for Trollstigen. There are texts and pictures for both children and adults, in both Swedish and English. Legends have been worked into local history and information about right of access in the countryside.
– If you have any ideas about what would be suitable along the trail, you can contact Glimåkra utveckling via Facebook, for example, says Linda.
