Childcare worker released from custody – suspected of aggravated assault
The decision to release the man from custody was made on Wednesday.

The childcare worker had been detained on suspicion of child rape, aggravated sexual assault of a child and child pornography offences.

– The police have carried out many measures during the investigation, held many interviews and carried out many technical analyses, she says.
– But I have come to the conclusion that at present, we have no reasonable grounds to suspect child rape and aggravated sexual assault of a child. Therefore, there are no sufficient grounds to keep him in custody.

The childcare worker has admitted to possessing child pornography, but he has denied abusing children.
– We have always maintained that my client denies committing the crime. He has always been certain that he was innocent, that he did not do this, says Samuel Ålöw.
The man has admitted to possessing child pornography. Therefore, he will be held accountable for this crime.
