Bus company lost contract
Three contracts were combined into one when Skånetrafiken purchased new contracts for 2020 – 2028. Arriva won, with Bergkvara buss in second place. Bergkvara’s contract expires in December 2021.

Jens Richard, head administrator for Bergkvara buss traffic in Östra Skåne, is manager for 130 drivers in four depots. 75 of them are stationed in Broby, the others in Kristianstad, Olofström and Hässleholm.
110 of 130 are affected by the deal. The other 20 drive school transports and traffic to order.
Is this a heavy blow to you?
– It definitely is. Most of them will find jobs in the branch, but with other companies. We want to do our best to make the changeover as smooth as possible, says Jens Richard.
– At least 90 per cent of what we do here in Broby is affected.
You’ve invested a lot of money in the Broby depot. What will happen to that?
– We’ll have to wait and see. Maybe we can co-operate with Arriva, says Jens Richard.
