Budget: Promise of new funding

The Alliance parties, M, L, KD and C, presented their budget proposal for 2022 on 13th October. They want to invest a considerable sum, 138.5 million crowns, in reforms.

The biggest drive, 14 million crowns, will be directed towards special support for children in school.

A large amount of money will also go to the labour market and integration. SFI will get en extra 13 million, and 8 million will go to various projects in the labour market.

– If you can't speak the language, it's hard to get a foot into the labour market, says Christina Borglund, group leader for KD.

In addition money will go to security measures such as increased camera surveillance at Gamlegården and Österäng.

Finances will be strengthened primarily by increased money from taxation and by state funding.

The budget proposal will be decided at the municipal council meeting in November.
