AlltMöjligt wants to create a large new meeting place, primarily for asylum seekers but also for everyone who lives in the municipality.

– We’re open to the whole family and it’s in the evening. We will be open once a week, on Thursdays starting from September 24th, says Linda Svenle who works at the AlltMöjligt workshop.

The meeting place will be open one evening a week. ”Everyone is welcome”, says Baris Tosun, asylum seeker and volunteer, Stefan Andersson, Operations Manager and Linda Svenle at the AlltMöjligt workshop.

The meeting place will be in the second-hand shop at AlltMöjligt on Storgatan 38 in Broby.

The second-hand shop will be open. Anyone can drop by.

– There has been a desire to be open in the evenings for a long time, says Svenle.

The meeting place, adapted for corona, will be open to everyone who lives in the municipality.

– It will be a place that promotes integration and where you can feel safe.

The stage is new, for music, reading poems, presentations and more. The meeting place opens on September 24th at 4-7 p.m. There will also be an opening ceremony then.

There are currently 290 asylum seekers in Östra Göinge.

Participants can come up with suggestions for activities. There will also be discussions about various topics such as work, society, associations and housing.

– The idea is that there will be an opportunity to take care of the children while the parents participate in activities. We have different workshops and premises, says Linda Svenle.

The new meeting place is being funded by Länsstyrelsen Skåne (the County Administrative Board), ABF, Vuxenskolan (Adult Education), Sensus, Svenska Kyrkan (the Church of Sweden), Östra Göinge municipality, Fryshuset, Ibn Rushd and a few others.
