After massive criticism: Telepass no longer to transport special school pupils
The information came the day after a meeting between the municipality and Telepass. The reason for the meeting was criticism from the municipality about the large number of aberrations from what had been agreed on since the start of the term. Of some 240 daily trips we have been notified of an average of 50 aberrations a day, said municipal commissioner Pierre Månsson (L) on Wednesday.
– We've had a lot of reactions because it hasn't been working properly. In principle there are 25 per cent aberrations a day, anything between ten minutes to an hour and a half, he said then. In a press release from the municipality information is given that 'the company that has been responsible for transporting special school pupils will now hand over the contract.
The supplier and Kristianstad municipality have agreed that in this complicated situation the best solution is for the company to concentrate its resources on other commissions for the municipality.'
Telepass is also responsible for other school transport in the municipality.
