ABK: Rent increase from January 1st
The increase in rent will vary depending on where the apartment is located (in which area) and the standard. It may be that apartments in the same building have different increases depending on different sizes and standards.

The rents were negotiated by AB Kristianstadsbyggen, ABK, and the Hyresgästföreningen (the Tenants’ Association). Last year, rents were increased by 1.50 per cent, the Tenants' Association writes in a press release.
– Due to the corona pandemic, it’s very important that rents are kept down during 2021. Ordinary people must be able to afford to stay in their apartments, says Pontus Wengsén, Negotiator at the Tenants' Association Region North Skåne.
– During a year like this, we need to have a considerably lower rent increase than last year. ABK is now one of the companies that has taken responsibility in the negotiations, with an understanding of the financial challenges that many tenants face, says Evalena Agertoft, Head of the negotiating team at the Tenants' Association.
About 9,000 apartments are affected by the rent increase.
