55-year-old man dies following accident in Önnestad
– It was a head-on collision between a motorhome and a car. The passengers are seriously injured. One person is trapped and we are working on cutting them out now. The passengers are on their way to hospital, said Melissa Millbourn, Duty Officer for the fire brigade around 12.30pm.
Five people, including three adults and two children, have been taken to hospital by ambulance with unknown injuries.
– One of the individuals involved is critically injured says Filip Annas, Police Spokesperson, shortly before 1pm.
At 4.20pm the police announced that a 55-year-old man had died as a result of the accident.
The deceased man was traveling in the car together with a 35-year-old man according to the police. An elderly man and woman were traveling in the motorhome with two boys; one who is under the age of 10 and a teenage boy under the age of 15.
It is currently unknown if there are any criminal charges against any of the drivers.
