50 new jobs for young people

Unemployment among young people is high. So the state has given municipalities a grant to enable them to provide jobs.

There are three different target groups:

Studies plus 50 per cent youth job is for young people who have no upper-school leaving certificate. The jobs are half-time and last for three or four months. You combine working with studying two or three subjects at Komvux. You can apply already. Read more on the municipality's website.

”Try-it-out” weekend jobs, that is, picking up litter in the municipality. During the summer about 200 young people remove litter in the municipality. In the autumn more can do so as a ”try-it-out” job. You can apply from 5th July on the municipality's homepage.

Trial jobs in work that is normally done in the municipality is for young people who have got their school-leaving certificate and want to try working for two months in a municipal job. It may be work in a school, in the care sector, in administration or practical work.
