Valborg: Here’s where you can celebrate spring
In Tivoli Park the celebration starts at 8.30 pm. There will be spring singing with Christianstads Motettkör (choir), a spring speech by Lena Ohlsson (M) Chair of the Culture and Leisure board, and a fire show. The Nosaby scout team will be lighting the fire on the raft.
In Broby, Valborg will be celebrated at the old bridge at 8.30 pm. The fire will be lit on the river, Broby-Emmislöv's Church choir will sing in the spring, and the spring speech will be held by Ulf Olsson.
Östanå will be running their celebration for the 73rd time, with a May bonfire and fireworks. The carnival that usually attracts about 170 attendees is at 8.15 pm. Before that, Fryshuset's dance group will perform a dance at 6.30 pm and 7.15 pm. There will be funfairs, duck races, music entertainment, refreshments and lottery 6 pm till 10.30 pm.
In Sibbhult, entertainment is offered with Nick Borgen. Peter Lidebrant and the house band Maid of Sun will be on the stage and there will be singing for the children. There will be a torchlight procession as usual. What time? 6.30 pm to 10 pm.
The torchlight procession in Immeln will go from the kiosk to the marina at 8 pm. After the May bonfire has been lit, Church pastor Anna J Evertsson will give a speech and Immelen's song choir will sing in the spring. Before that, at 9.45 pm, it will be time for fireworks at Ruberg's quayside.
In Knislinge, Valborg will be celebrated with Östra Göinge’s Riding association at Piskagården, which opens at 6 pm. Pony rides, singing by Fröknegården's music classes and barbequing before the fire is lit.
