The thieves managed to get hold of jackets and branded clothes worth a large sum of money.

”He was looking at us and he had a crowbar. He threw it to the ground so that sparks flew”
Tic Johansson, a witness

– It’s a robbery on a large scale, says Andreas Hällefors, on-call leader of the preliminary investigation at the police in Kristianstad on Sunday morning.

Kai-Uwe Breithack followed the raid through a small opening in a door. ”I woke up, the whole of Everöd woke up. It was like a Hollywood film”.

A loud explosion at around 00:30 on Sunday morning made neighbours go out to see what had happened. Marcus and Tic Johansson wasted no time in calling the police.

– The thieves had big bags that they filled and loaded into the cars. There were four-six people, masked, with headlamps, says Marcus Johansson.

The brothers went out to the fence.

The police have carried out a technical examination. The shop has surveillance cameras. On Sunday no-one had been apprehended for the raid.

One of the perpetrators on the other side of the road caught sight of them.

– He was looking at us and he had a crowbar. He threw it to the ground so that sparks flew, says Tic Johansson.

According to what witnesses said, the thieves made off in two white estate cars.

The police say the big, yellow Volvo wheel loader had been stolen from a building company in Åhus on Saturday.

The police would like to get information from anyone who may have seen the wheel loader between Åhus and Everöd on Saturday.
