Ten things to do in Kristianstad

November can be grey and dismal. So it can be great to light a candle or two, listen to music and do things together. And soon it will be Advent.

For many years Mora Träsk have entertained both children and adults. On 9th November they are coming to Kristianstad to appear at Restaurant Metropol. 'Balladen om Nygatan 8’ at Kristianstad Theatre on 21st November has music by Cornelis Vreeswijk, one of our best-loved

troubadours. He came to Sweden from Holland when he was twelve, and became a favourite for his texts and songs.

To go and watch a handball match together can be fun. Both the men’s team and the women’s are very good. Ice-hockey is fun as well, and there are several opportunities to go and see a match.

And Advent will soon be here. On 1st December there is a Christmas fair in Kristianstad, and on 8th December Trekvart choir will get us in the mood with Christmas music at Naturum. Music to brighten up a dark December.

Mora Träsk started out as a rock band. Now it is a duo – Leif Walter and a guitarist – who provide family entertainment.

We meet a couple who live their uneventful, secure, rather boring life in a house at Nygatan 8. Suddenly an unknown family moves into their home. The situation becomes chaotic. What happens when there is an unexpected meeting in their safe, humdrum lives? Wretchedness, a lot of humour, poetry and celebration.
