Teenager stabbed - police investigating attack as attempted murder
The man was stabbed during a fight on Saturday night. There was blood stains on the cobble stones along a couple of hundred metres of the street.
The police cordoned off parts of Östra Storgatan by Stora Torg at 2pm on Sunday.
According to information received by Kristianstadsbladet, the man received injuries to his stomach and head.
The police later arrested a 19-year-old man at Hästtorget. He is suspected of attempted murder and was detained on Sunday.
On Monday, the first of seven security cameras were installed in central Kristianstad.
One of them is placed at the front of Bånken next to the crime scene. But the camera is not in use yet.
When all cameras have been set up, the police will have to apply for permission from the Data Inspectorate to start using the cameras. The police hope to start using the cameras before the summer.
