Stolen bikes looking for their owners – police are appealing for help
There are about 20 stolen bicycles at the police station in Kristianstad right now. They were stolen last year. The police have not been able to find the owners.
The bikes were found in a storage room in a basement in Söder.
– The aim right now is to return them to the rightful owners, says Detective Thomas Hilm with the police.
In order to get your bike back you need to have filed a police report. If you already have that, it would be good to add details that are unique to your bike, such as frame numbers. Several of the bikes also have their frame locks left on them. It’s therefore also good if you can describe what your frame lock looks like - or bring the key to your stolen bike.
Then you have to book an appointment at the police station. You can call and schedule a meeting with Detective Thomas Hilm on 010-561 80 71.
– The best thing is if you bring a copy of your police report with you. If you’ve gotten rid of it then we can check the computer database. If you’ve filed a report then there shouldn’t be a problem, says Thomas Hilm.
