Sport: Great success for girls’ team in orienteering – the football girls in KDFF tied
Tio-mila started in 1945 and is one of Sweden's biggest classics in sports. 8,000 orienteers from many different countries came to Tio-mila in Glimåkra this weekend. The girls in Pan-Kristianstad gave a surprise with a good position, the best since 1992 when the girls’ team came in fourth place in Eskilstuna.
– Everyone has really given it their all. It feels nice considering that we have been preparing ourselves for three years and felt a certain pressure, says Emma Bergman.
Have you come to the top to stay?
– I think so. We’re working on establishing ourselves at the top, says Nicole Ljungdahl.
Kristianstad's DFF and Kopparbergs / Göteborgs tied, 2-2, on Sunday, at home.
On Wednesday the 1st of May, the teams will meet again, in the cup final, in Gothenburg.
