Snow caused many car accidents on Sunday
On Sunday it snowed almost 20 centimetres in parts of Skåne. The snow caused black ice which in turn caused many car accidents in north-eastern Skåne. But the snow will turn to rain, SMHI (Sweden’s weather service) announces.

The police urged motorists to take it easy on Sunday. According to Trafikverket (the Swedish Transport Administration), up to 20 centimetres of snow would fall, snow that was heavy and wet. In the south, the snow turned into rain.
On Saturday, the western part of Skåne was the worst affected by accidents.
According to SMHI's forecast on Sunday evening, the snow would continue north during Monday. In large parts of Skåne, the snow will have turned to rain, or snow-mixed rain.
