The vandalism has been going on for a long time. On Saturday night it increased.

– Extensive damage has been done, says Magnus Lautin, Internal Office at Kristianstad police.

Gamlegårdskolan is going to be demolished to make room for a nursery. The school remains, but it is subject to vandalism. Security guards, therefore, carry out checks there more often now.

Police went to school on Saturday night. They filed a report on vandalism. The time was 8.15 pm then.

There is a fence around the school. But it doesn’t prevent children and young people from climbing over and vandalising.

The police even received reports of vandalism on Sunday. Boys aged 10-12 years old were at the demolition site. They were trying to break open a locked door.

The boys were taken to their guardians by the police.
