Rolf’s suggestion became a new stretch of Skåneleden
Rolf Sjöberg has walked the whole of Skåneleden, 1,200 kilometres. In 2012 he decided to submit a medborgarförslag citizen’s suggestion - medborgarförslag – to Kristianstad municipality.
– in my suggestion I wrote that Skåneleden and Kristianstads Vattenrike are fantastic. To link them up would be a good move, with advantages both for Skåneleden and for Kristianstads Vattenrike.
Did it turn out as you had imagined?
– I think it would have been a good idea to extend it more – but for the moment we’ll take one thing at a time, says Rolf Sjöberg.
Vattenriketleden joins Skåneleden in Bökestad to the north and Drakamöllan to the south. This makes the 1,200 kilometre Skåneleden 140 kilometres longer now.
Are you the living proof that it pays off to submit a citizen’s suggestion?
– Ha, ha, in this case it feels very satisfying. You are able to influence.
Citizen’s suggestion
Everyone living in Kristianstad municipality is entitled to submit a citizen’s suggestion to the local council.
A citizen’s suggestion can be about something you would like to change in Kristianstad.
The suggestion must affect municipal activities or area of responsibility.
