- We’re a bit pressed for time. But it’s nothing that will get in the way of the school starting, says Bengt Olsson, Director of C4 Technology.

The opening ceremony for the school is on the 30th of August. The Children and Education administration have called for peace and quiet for students and staff on the first day of school.

- It’s the start of school at a brand new school which is also the largest primary school built in Kristianstad. It’s taken in students from three different schools, says Kenth Olsson, Head of the Children and Education administration.

Students have been transferred from Gamlegårdsskolan, Näsby school and Fröknegårdskolan.

The new Lingenässkolan has space for approximately 800 students and is an F-6 school. It will be the municipality's largest primary school. The only school that is bigger in the municipality is Österäng, but that’s a high school.

- Lingenäs is state of the art in several ways. We are very proud of it, says Kenth Olsson.

The new term also started at Kulltorpskolan on Wednesday. The school, which is also F-6, currently has about 250 students but will grow to about 400.
