He has been given notice because he has not paid his rent on time for a long period. This is a reason for terminating his vacancy according to the rental law, says ABK's Communications Manager Jonas Rosenberg.

ABK has submitted an application to Kristianstad’s District Court to sue Abdikarim and get him to leave his apartment because of unpaid rent.

There was four months’ rent outstanding this year. In total, ABK wants 25,000 crowns.

ABK has been unsuccessful in serving him notice through Kronofogden (the Swedish Enforcement Authority) or the police.

Abdikarim has now paid the fees and rent and as a result ABK has withdrawn the lawsuit from the District Court. However, ABK has chosen to give him notice to leave the apartment by the 31st of October due to the late rental payments according to ABK’s lawyer, Rebecca Elvstrand.
