Almost two weeks ago, the police received four reports of break-ins in the Kristianstad area; the thieves smashed the windows but the stolen items were of little value.

Eva-Lotta Hermansson Truedsson, Information Officer with the police warns against leaving things in the car.

- The thief is unaware until afterwards what’s really in the car, she says.

Last week, two break-ins took place in the same way. A thief smashed car windows in Vittskövle and Tollarp.

- They stole two bags, a mobile, bank card, driver's license, a car key and a pair of shoes, Eva-Lotta Hermansson Truedsson would like to remind people of the value of not giving thieves a chance.

- If it is an empty bag without any value, then always take it with you, she continues.
