The commission as project leader is around 30 per cent. Seven bids were received by the municipality. Pershaf Arkitektkontor submitted the bid the municipality preferred as regards cost, quality and experience.

The municipality has reserved 80 million crowns for new municipal offices. Today around 150 people work there. The plan is to increase the number to 200 – for example Göingehem’s office will move in.

Per-Ola Pershaf, 70, from Kristianstad, is well-known in north-east Skåne. Among other things he was head of ABK'S building section from 2000 till 2006, project leader for Kristianstad Arena, Rådhus Skåne (in Kristianstad), the new church hall beside Heliga Trefaldighet church in Kristianstad and Wanås Restaurant Hotel, which was ready in 2017.

Footnote: In accordance with an earlier study, the chamber (where the municipal council meets), the old doctor’s house and the old courthouse are to remain intact.
