Östra Göinge - Service municipality of the Year in Skåne
Access to commercial and public services in Östra Göinge is as good as in the large municipalities in western Skåne. Östra Göinge has received a prize for the Service municipality of the Year.

It’s Region Skåne and Länstyrelsen Skåne (the County Administrative Board) that gives out the prize known as Opportunity Award of the Year.
– We are very happy about this. It is a clear sign that we are doing the right thing working on village development in all of our villages to get the whole municipality to live, says Camilla Westdahl (M), Chairman of the Municipal Council.
The report states that the population of Östra Göinge has grown more than average and that the municipality has worked very hard to develop the entire municipality. Village development and investment in public transport are particularly emphasised.
