New hamburger chain and fast food straight from the wok
Sumo Sushi has restaurants in Galleria Boulevarden and C4 Shopping, and has a lot of new ideas for Åhus. Now Sumo Sushi is branching out with another new restaurant, this time on Östra Boulevarden – and there will be no sushi.
– We’re going to concentrate on Asian fast food, mostly from the wok, more a take-away place, says Tai La, a chef at Sumo Sushi.
The restaurant, called Sumo Kitchen Asian Express, is going to open in March.
At the end of February Shady Burgers will open its doors at Östra Storgatan. The cellar premises opposite what used to be Café Fenix will be home in Kristianstad to the hamburger chain.
Head chef Rickard Lundborg and managing director Per Fällman are enthusiastic. Previous occupants have been Lilla Italy* and Fredholms. It lies opposite the place where Café Fenix used to be.
– It has a welcoming feel to it, just like the one we have in Sölvesborg, says Per Fällman.
It all began there in Sölvesborg. The hamburger restaurant opened in 2017 and soon became popular. The next year we opened two branches, in Lund and Halmstad. Now it’s Kristianstad’s turn.
