Näsby may get cableway to the city centre
There could be a cableway between Näsby and the city centre. A study is underway. Among other things, municipal officials have looked at a cableway in Poland.

Näsby will grow with around 1,500 homes within 15 years. To meet all the transportation needs, a new traffic solution is required. One solution is to build a new road connected to Härlövsängaleden.
But the municipality is also investigating how the entire area around Barbacka should be developed, for example, if Kristianstad University should move there. It could then be interesting to have a cableway 15 metres above the ground, over the railway.
The idea is that it would start near the railway station, out towards the new bathhouse and the area where the university is today, maybe even further into Gamlegården.
Gothenburg also has plans for a cableway, across the Göta älv (River Göta).
