There was a great risk that the forest fire at Näset, west of Breanäs would spread. But the firefighters quickly got the situation under control.

On Easter Monday a fire of about 1 500 square metres broke out in Bökestad, at Lake Raslången, north of Arkelstorp. The emergency services from Kristianstad, Olofström and Arkelstorp were sent to the scene.

The fire didn’t spread all the way up in the trees but was contained to the terrain.

The terrain outside Hästveda and outside Broby has been burnt.

There were also fires in Åbuamossen between Osby and Hästveda on Easter Monday.

There is a fire ban in several municipalities in Skåne. So far, there is no fire ban in Kristianstad, Östra Göinge and Bromölla. But the emergency services advise against lighting fires outdoors.
